What are Barrels?

Modifies Weapon Range and Handling

Barrels mostly modify the effective range and recoil control of your weapon. Longer Barrels increase bullet velocity and damage at longer distances, while Shorter Barrels focus on weapon handling such as jumping ADS and Jump-to-Fire speeds.

The AS VAL's barrels in particular are integrally suppressed, meaning you will not need to equip a suppressor for the gun to have the benefit of not showing on the minimap.

Can Multiply Body Part Damage

Some barrels, such as the CHF Barrel, can modify the damage dealt to body part such as the head at the cost of several drawbacks such as lesser recoil control.
