Types | Description |
---|---|
Barrel | Modifies the effective range of your gun in-game. Longer barrels offer more bullet velocity and damage at the cost of poor handling at close-quarters, while shorter barrels offer better handling at the cost of effective range. |
Comb | Improves weapon handling, allowing you to aim down sights faster. Combs also lets you use your gun sooner after performing certain actions like sprinting, diving, and sliding. |
Stock | Helps with aim stability depending on the type equipped. Lighter stocks will offer better mobility at the cost of firing stability. |
Muzzle | Helps with your shooting stability when firing the gun. Other options help with stealth, allowing you to hide muzzle flashes or suppress the sound of your gunshots. |
Rear Grip | Lighter grips offer better ADS speed and sprint to fire speeds, while heavier grips offer better recoil control and flinch resistance. |
Optic | Modifies the ADS view of your weapon, often granting you better weapon zoom, customized reticles, and augmented sights. |
Underbarrel | Underbarrel grips help you steady your aim, while other options offer more utility in the form of breaching rounds and under-barrel grenade launchers. |
Magazine | Determines the number of bullets you can shoot before reloading. |
Laser | Helps you track where your gun barrel is aimed, downrange. It is also usually visible to your enemies. |
Fire Mods | Modifies weapon stats used in various in-game mechanics such as armor penetration, bullet velocity, rechambering speed, etc. |
You can equip a total of 5 attachments for your weapon at the Gunsmith menu. To do this, choose the gun that you want to use in the Loadout screen and then open the Gunsmith menu. From here, select the attachments that you want to have equipped on your gun.
