Obtain Death Perception Perk

Death Perception

You will need a Death Perception Perk for this Easter Egg. This will allow you to get the Ancient Gems needed to summon the Ray Gun. You can get one immediately after leaving the spawn through the Tomb.

Get a Shovel

Shovel Locations
Shovel Map
Shovel #1
Shovel Near the Death Perception
Shovel #2
Shovel in Ossuary near the Ammo Box
Shovel #3
Shovel Near the Red Portal

Find and get a Shovel somewhere in the map. You should be able to get one in the Tomb near the Death Perception Machine.

Shovels have fixed locations, meaning you can find them on the same spot if you play on this map again.

Dig Up Bone Mounds to Get 3 Ancient Gems

Ancient Gem

Using the shovel, interact with the Bone Mounds (dig sites) to get a Ancient Gem and some other items. These Bone Mounds are not guaranteed to drop a Ancient Gem, so you'll have to search around the map for more to get three.

Deliver the Gems to the Ancient Statue

Ancient Statue Location

Once you picked up all three Ancient Gems, you must deliver them on the Ancient Statue inside the Tombs area. You should be able to find it near a Zombie Spawn and a huge pile of rubble. It is also close to the Death Perception Machine.

Defeat Two Elite Doppelghasts

Defeat 2 Doppelghasts

Two Elite Doppelghasts will appear after placing all three Ancient Gems on the Ancient Statue. Defeat them both to summon the Ray Gun and 600 Essence in front of the statue.

Make sure to level up your weapons (Pack-a-Punch and Rarity) to help you defeat the Doppelghasts, as they will be tanky.

You can get a Ray Gun and 600 Essence for completing this Easter Egg. These should help you plow through the mid and higher rounds and eventually get upgrades for your main weapons.
