How to Kill Shock Mimics

Use Shotguns

Shooting Shock Mimic with Shotgun

Using Shotguns against the Shock Mimics is really effective as you are more or less guaranteed to hit all the pellets because of how big the Shock Mimics are, making them the ideal bullet sponge for Shotguns.

Preferably, you would use a Pack-a-Punched ASG-89 with the Rapid Fire Fire Mod for the most optimal amount of damage per second.

Shoot the Mouth

Dealing Critical Damag to Mimics

Try to take your time to aim and shoot at the Shock Mimic's glowing mouth to deal critical damage and spend less ammo to kill it. You can also score a critical kill by shooting it in its mouth as the killing blow.

Use Deadwire Ammo Mod

Shock Mimic Getting Shocked

Shock Mimics can get stunned by the Dead Wire Ammo Mod proc, similar to how regular Zombies get stunned. Shock Mimics also take extra damage from Dead Wire if you have it equipped, as well as from other Ammo Mods, but they only get stunned by Dead Wire.

Avoid Getting Grabbed

Getting Grabbed by Shock Mimic

Constantly move around and keep your distance from the Shock Mimics to avoid getting grabbed, as it can be very punishing — You will get briefly stunned, and it will significantly damage your HP bar.
