The quest starts in the Governor's Villa after the final cutscene of the Walls and Shadows quest.

Firing The Arrow - Meet Stowe in the West Market.png
Meet Stowe in the west market		 Approach Stowe in the West Market of Lunden to initiate a cutscene.

Firing The Arrow - Acquire a coin.png
Acquire a coin		 Acquire a coin to participate in The Arrow's challenge later on.
There are two ways to acquire a coin for this stage of the quest.

Firing The Arrow - Complete The Arrow
Complete The Arrow's challenge		 Head to the Londinium Amphitheatre and talk to The Arrow's associates to start the challenge.
Win The Arrow's challenge to have a significant advantage during phase 5 of this quest.
You can do a trial run of the challenge for practice.
You can ask for a second chance if you lose The Arrow's challenge.
There are no more chances after losing for the second time.
TIP: The second chance is free if your Charisma is at least level two.

Meet with Hussa		 Meet with Hussa in the imperial arch.
You will be positioned directly behind The Arrow after a short cutscene.
IMPORTANT: This stage of the quest is only available if you won The Arrow's challenge.

Firing The Arrow - Find and assassinate The Arrow.png
Find and assassinate The Arrow		 Assassinate The Arrow while he is making his speech in the imperial arch.
TIPS:
Climb up the pillars and position yourself above the stage via walking across a rope if you prefer to take him out via assassination.
The Advanced Assassination skill is needed to assassinate The Arrow with one strike.

Return to Stowe		 Report back to Stowe and discuss what you've done.
The quest completes after a short dialogue.

Firing The Arrow: How to Acquire a Coin

Steal from a guard

Firing The Arrow - Stealing the coin from a guard.png
Get within earshot of the talking guards in the middle of the West Market. One of them will have a coin that you can steal.

Wait for their conversation to end and follow the guard with the coin. Approach while crouched and press the button prompt to steal his coin.

Identify which one of the guards has the coin via Odin's Sight.

Lie to the Recruiter

Speak to recruiter located in the northwest corner of the West Market. You must convince the recruiter that they have been chosen to acquire a coin for The Arrow's challenge.

Two sets of dialogue options will be presented to you during the conversation. The correct dialogue option must be chosen in each set to successfully acquire a coin.

Dialogue Set One

Dialogue Option Result
"Hussa of Lundenwic." The recruiter will be pleased upon hearing Hussa's name and the conversation will continue.
"Egbert of East Anglia." The recruiter will see through your deception and automatically ends the conversation.
"Stowe of Lunden." The recruiter will be alarmed. This ends the conversation and results in a fight. Nearby guards will also be alerted to your position.

Dialogue Set Two

Dialogue Option Result
"Outlanders bring coin." The recruiter will be unimpressed with your answer. The conversation ends without receiving a coin.
"Outlanders cannot outnumber us." The recruiter will be pleased at your answer, rewarding you with a coin.
"You're an outlander." The recruiter will be furious, resulting in a fight and alerting nearby guards.
