	Tips
	Bercthun is quite a slow opponent. Study his attack patterns, and learn when to parry and dodge his strikes which are telegraphed a few seconds before he actually goes in to hit you.
	When you first get in sight of him, try to shoot him off of his horse and stay at a distance. Shoot at him with your arrows while he tries to rush at you to close the gap.
	If you anger him enough, Bercthun will light his battleaxe on fire. Avoid taking hits from these as you would his normal attacks.

Shoot Him With Arrows

Due to his slow nature, a good way to deal damage against Bercthun early is by shooting him off of his horse when you get in sight of him. As he slowly makes his way to you, where he will eventually try to rush you, you can keep your distance and shoot at him with your arrows until he is in range of your melee weapons.

Avoid Fire Attacks

If you've dealt him enough damage, Bercthun will eventually light his battleaxe on fire. He performs the same attacks as he would normally against you with this trick, so avoiding each strike until the fire goes out would be best to prevent receiving any additional damage from his blows.

Parry and Dodge

As a slow opponent, you can quite easily parry or dodge any of his strikes. You only need to be careful when his indicator turns red, which means an unblockable attack is on its way.

Using Spears or Dane Axes in this fight is a good way to keep your distance, while also being able to evade his attacks easily without fear of them magnetically connecting with you.
