The quest starts after the assault on Kjotve's Fortress.

1 Birthrights - Reaching Alrekstad.pngEnlarge Reach Alrekstad The northern road from Kjotve's Fortress leads directly to Alrekstad.
There is a stable filled with horses inside the fortress.
Using the Follow The Road feature on horseback allows the horse to automatically navigate to the quest location.
2 Birthrights - Find and speak to Sigurd.pngEnlarge Find and talk to Sigurd Look for Sigurd in Alrekstad.
TIP: Sigurd is inside the tavern with Basim.
3 Birthrights - Follow Basim.pngEnlarge Follow Basim After a brief dialogue in the tavern, Basim will lead you to Gorm's cabin in Alrekstad.
The quest will offer a short tutorial on Stealth mechanics.
4 Birthrights - Enter GormEnlarge Enter Gorm's Cabin Sneak into Gorm's Cabin.

5 Birthrights - Return to Sigurd.pngEnlarge Return to Sigurd Meet with Sigurd at the longhouse and witness the events of the Althing.
A series of dialogue options will be presented to the player during the Althing cutscene.

Choosing whichever dialogue option during Eivor's talk with King Harald near the end of the Althing will always lead to the same reaction.
The quest ends after the cutscene.

Gorm's Hut Stealth Guide

Birthrights - Sneak Guide Part 1.pngEnlarge Guards are stationed in front and around Gorm's Cabin. Head to the left as soon as you enter the campsite.
Birthrights - Sneak Guide Part 2.pngEnlarge Go through the bushes to get closer to the cabin.
Birthrights - Sneak Guide Part 3.pngEnlarge Sneak towards the entrance of Gorm's Cabin from this location. Make sure that the path is clear of any patrolling guards.

Deciding Gorm's Fate

A series of dialogue options will be presented to the player during the Althing cutscene that will decide Gorm's fate. Take note that whatever the player chooses, the result will ALWAYS end in Gorm's EXILE.

Kill Gorm

Harald will overrule the decision and BANISH Gorm instead.

Banish Gorm

Harald will agree with the decision and BANISH Gorm.

Let Harald Decide

Harald will decide to BANISH Gorm.
