The quest starts in Ravensthorpe after eliminating all of The Order of The Ancients members for Hytham except The Father.

1 The Poor Fellow-Soldier - Travel to Aethelnay.pngTravel to Aethelnay Approach the designated area in Aethelnay in the region of Hamtunscire.
2 The Poor Fellow-Soldier - Walk with Aelfred.pngWalk with Aelfred Listen to Aelfred as you walk around Aethelnay.
A cutscene plays out once the initial conversation ends.
It is revealed that Aelfred was The Father, Grand Maegester of The Order of The Ancients.
Aelfred will give you his order medallion and key to his study afterward.
The quest ends after the cutscene.
Return to Hytham and submit the final batch of order medallions to finish the Breaking The Order quest.
3 The Poor Fellow-Soldier - Visit AelfredVisit Aelfred's study Aelfred's study is located inside The Old Minster in Wincestre. It is the same place where you first met Aelfred during The Reeve of Wincestre quest.
Visit his study to reveal lore bits regarding The Order of The Ancients.
