The quest starts in Ravensthorpe after pledging to Oxenefordscire. This quest also marks the beginning of The Paladin's Stone story arc.

Travel to Birmingham in Oxenefordscire and search for Sigurd in the alehouse. TIPS: Use your Raven's-Eye View to determine the alehouse's exact location. All dialogue options during the conversation with the ale-wife leads to Sigurd's location. Choosing the second dialogue option results in guards storming inside the alehouse. |

Meet with Sigurd at a fish house in the southwest riverbank of Birmingham. |

Head to the other side of town and enter Buckingham's longhouse with Sigurd and Basim. |

Eliminate all of the soldiers inside the longhouse and free Geadric. |

Travel to Leah Villa Garrison and rescue the captured thegns. There are a total of four thegns held captive within Leah Villa Garrison. Rescue at least one of them to progress to the next objective. Click here to find out how to rescue all the thegns! |

Fight your way out of Leah Villa Garrison with the thegns. Escort the thegns to a nearby clearing north of Leah Villa Garrison. |

Travel back to Birmingham and tell Geadric what happened. The quest ends after a short cutscene. |
IMPORTANT: Sigurd and Basim will NOT alert any guards with their presence when sneaking around Leah Villa Garrison. |

Start at the northern area of Leah Villa Garrison. Make your way to the other side and enter the bushes. WARNING: The trial and execution begin as soon as you enter the area. |

Sneak towards the wall. Be mindful of any guards patrolling around or inside the bushes. |

Carefully and quickly cross towards the other set of bushes close to the executioner. Check if there are any guards looking your way first before doing so. |

Break Leah Villa Garrison's alarm bell by shooting its pulley on top. This ensures that the entire garrison will not be alerted if any of the soldiers go for the bell later on. |

Eliminate the executioner first before anyone else. Doing so will prevent any of the thegns from dying. TIP: You can eliminate the executioner with one blow if you have the advanced assassination skill. |

Rescue the first three thegns and fight your way to the fourth one inside a steel cage. |
