The quest starts in Burgh Castle immediately after the events of the quest: A Fury from the Sea.

The ending of this story arc depends if you killed or spared Rued during the quest: A Fury from the Sea.
Read on to learn the consequences of each choice!
The wedding festivities will proceed as planned, culminating in a bridal race to Elmenham's longhouse.
You must talk to Finnr to complete the quest. Finnr mentions that the fires of battle have been rekindled in him during the assault on Burgh Castle and is willing to join the Raven clan as a Jomsviking.
Rued will crash the wedding celebration and challenge Oswald to a holmgang! Choose to either let Oswald fight or fight for him.
Letting Oswald fight will trigger a cutscene that results in Oswald defeating Rued but sparing his life. This inspires Finnr and decides to stay in East Anglia to serve Oswald.
You enter the holmgang in Oswald's stead. Rued at this point is severely weakened compared to his previous boss fight and should be easy to defeat.
Finnr will join the Raven clan as a Jomsviking after you speak with him inside Elmenham's longhouse.
