Opal Farming Guide | How to Get Opals

What are Opals?

Rare Item

Opals are non-tradeable resources that you can gather from the world of Assassin's Creed Valhalla (AC Valhalla). These can't be sold or bought from anywhere, but rather earned through exploring the world and completing tasks.

Precious Currency

They are a special type of currency, separate from the gold you can collect in the world, and can only be used in Reda's Shop in your settlement, Ravensthorpe. You can exchange these Opals for rare items such as pieces of armors or weapons. Be quick however, as these items are time-limited.

How to Farm Opals

Accomplish Reda's Contracts

Reda and his The Thousand Eyes network, which are sub-associates of the young man found in cities, can be interacted with for contracts that, once completed, reward you with Opals that you can use.

These contracts appear daily, leaving you with enough time to finish them and earn Opals as you need them. Simply talk to Reda or his associates in other locations to open up the contracts menu.

Use Your Raven

As previously mentioned, Opals can also appear in the world you inhabit in AC Valhalla. There are quite a number of them available around England, but finding them is quite an arduous task in and of itself. You can use your Raven to identify items in the world, allowing you to see where Opals are hidden for you to be able to approach and collect them.

Buy the Opal Map

Alternatively, you can simply buy the Opal Map from the Animus Store to reveal all the locations of Opals on your map for 350 Helix Credits. Doing so cuts on the time and effort you need to endure to get these precious resources.
