The quest starts outside Dover Fortress immediately after stealing King Aelfred's orders from the emissary during The Abbot's Gambit quest.

- Look for Tedmund in Beamasfield. - Players can either do this quietly via sneaking around or fight through soldiers to get to Tedmund. TIPS: - Basim will NOT alert any soldiers with his presence if players decide to sneak around Beamasfield. - Try hitting Tedmund once if the Tie Up action isn't showing up. - Players might have to reload their saves if this issue persists. |

- Carry Tedmund and bring him to the Medeuuage Megaliths located north of Beamasfield. - A cutscene with dialogue options will play out once players drop him in the indicated area. |

- It turns out that the Tedmund players captured in Beamasfield is an impostor and is actually a former monk named Shergar. - Quest objectives going forward will split into two paths after deciding what to do with Shergar during the cutscene. - This quest will always lead towards the same conclusion regardless of which dialogue option players choose and will not affect the story arc in any way going forward. TIP: Players who prefer to avoid conflict in the Dane camp are advised to take Shergar with them. |

- Follow Shergar to the Dane Camp. - He will initiate a short conversation with the Saxons' leader and attempt to let the captured Danes go. |

- Players will have a set of dialogue options during Shergar's conversation with the Saxons' leader. - Choosing the first two dialogue options will lead to a peaceful resolution and players can set the Danes free without any conflict. - Choosing the third option (marked by crossed weapons) will provoke the Saxons and a fight will ensue. |
