The quest starts in Rouecistre Fortress immediately after The Man Behind The Man quest.

Meet with Basim		 Return to Saint Hadrian's Priory and meet with Basim.

A Bloody Welcome - Follow Basim.png
Follow Basim		 Follow Basim to Cynebert's chambers.

A Bloody Welcome - Escape the ambush.png
Enter the Abbot's chambers		 A cutscene will play out as soon as you open the door.

A Bloody Welcome - Escape the ambush.png
Escape the ambush		 Escape the ambush by climbing the ladder and exiting through the open window behind the moveable shelf.
You can either leave the area or kill all of Fulke's soldiers waiting outside.

Travel to Canterbury		 Travel with Basim to Canterbury.

A Bloody Welcome - Infiltrate the Cathedral.png
Infiltrate the Cathedral		 Infiltrate Canterbury Cathedral to search for signs of Sigurd or Fulke.

A Bloody Welcome - Search for Fulke.png
Search for Fulke		 Eliminate the guard stationed at the bottom of the stairs and use his key to enter Fulke's dungeon.
A cutscene plays out once you reach the red door at the lowest level of the dungeon.
The quest ends after the cutscene. This marks the end of The Instrument of The Ancients story arc.

Stealth Guide: Sneaking into Canterbury Cathedral

 Follow the southern wall of Canterbury and look for a scaffolding that leads up the wall.
Soldiers patrol the wall. Be mindful of their position at all times.

 Climb the scaffolding and proceed further inside through the bushes.
Be mindful of any patrolling soldiers inside.

 Go around the chapel beside Canterbury Cathedral via bushes.
You can climb the chapel first to get a better view of the area.

 Climb the scaffolding in one of the sides of Canterbury Cathedral and enter the open window.
Make sure the coast is clear before crossing.

 Eliminate the soldiers inside Canterbury Cathedral.
Engaging them in open combat will not alert those outside.
TIP: Use the chandeliers hanging in the room to eliminate multiple soldiers at once.

 Walk towards the altar.
A set of stairs leading down to Fulke's dungeon is located just behind it.
Eliminate the elite unit guarding the door and use his key to enter Fulke's dungeon.
