The quest starts in Wulfaswic immediately after the final cutscene of the Taken quest.

Find and speak to Birstan		 Head to Hunter's Meet and speak to Birstan.

Twists and Turns - Follow Birstan.png
Follow Birstan		 Follow Birstan to a nearby clearing.

Twists and Turns - Hunt boars.png
Hunt boars		 Fill up the progress bar by hunting five boars in the area.

Twists and Turns - Join Birstan and Alfida.png
Join Birstan and Alfida		 Head to the Ealdorman's House in Colcestre and speak to Birstan.

Twists and Turns - Speak to Rollo.png
Speak to Rollo		 Return to Wulfaswic and speak to Rollo.
The events that transpire during the cutscene depend on whether the right person was accused of being the traitor during the Old Wounds quest.
Estrid will be injured during the cutscene if the wrong person was accused of being the traitor.

Defeat the Saxons		 Fill up the progress bar by eliminating Saxons.

Twists and Turns - Talk with Estrid.png
Talk with Estrid		 Talk to Estrid after defeating the Saxons.
The quest completes after a short cutscene. This marks the end of the story arc: A Breviary of Broken Hearts.
TIP: Read Birstan's letter in your room at Ravensthorpe after reporting to Randvi to receive the Arc of Elan Hunter Bow.
