The quest starts in Ravensthorpe after pledging to East Anglia. This marks the beginning of The Tale of Thegn Oswald story arc.

Kingmaker - Confront the Dane steward.png
Confront the Dane steward		 Sail east towards Northwic in East Anglia
Approach the sleeping steward inside the longhouse to trigger a cutscene.
TIPS:
Use the Follow the River feature to automatically navigate to the quest location.
Saxon bandits may ambush your longship during your travel to Northwic.
Break Saxon water blockades by shooting at them with arrows.

Kingmaker - Find and speak to Oswald.png
Find and speak to Oswald		 Finnr will tell you where thegn Oswald is after the cutscene.
Head to the northern gate of Northwic and approach the nearby crowd.

Kingmaker - Follow Oswald.png
Follow Oswald		 Follow Oswald to his home in Elmenham.
The trip is cut short by the presence of Rued's clansmen in Beteleah Farm.

Kingmaker - Clear out Rued
Clear out Rued's clansmen		 Eliminate Rued's clansmen and return to Oswald afterward.

Attend the dinner at night		 Oswald will asks that you attend his dinner in Elmenham.
Head in front of Oswald's home at night.
TIP: Meditate to initiate a timelapse of the day if needed.
