The quest starts in Odin's Rest immediately after the On Borrowed Time quest.

Adorning the Adorned - Speak with Vili.png
Speak with Vili		 Speak to Vili near Hemthorpe's eastern gate to initiate a cutscene.

Adorning the Adorned - Find the entrance of Peak Cavern.png
Find the entrance of Peak Cavern		 Travel east and look for Peak Cavern's entrance.
TIP: Use Raven's-Eye View to determine its exact location.

Adorning the Adorned - Search for the exile.png
Search for the exile		 Explore the cave and look for the exile.
Speak to him to intiate a cutscene.

Adorning the Adorned - Complete the Cairn.png
Complete the Cairn		 Stack the stones at or above the indicated height and validate it. This will trigger a series of cutscenes with the exile.
Dialogue options during the cutscenes are inconsequential to the overall story.
The quest finishes once you have chosen a sigil to be engraved into your gift.
