The quest starts in northern Jotunheim after the final cutscene of the Mistress of The Iron Wood quest.

Head west towards the Serpent's Tree. TIP: Use Odin's Sight to determine the site's exact location. |

Investigate the ambush area until the progress meter is filled. TIP: Use Odin's Sight to highlight objects of interest. |

Follow the trail of destruction and find the cauldron. TIP: Use Odin's Sight to reveal the trail and key objects along its path. |

Position yourself in front of the totem in the middle of the room. This will unveil the secret path towards the cauldron room. |
 |
Proceed through the new path. Eliminate the patrolling Jotun along the path. |
 |
Move the shelf and follow the path behind it |
 |
Slowly sneak towards the ladder and climb it. WARNING: Plot your movements in this area very carefully as specific Jotnar will patrol certain areas. |
 |
Cross the bridge to the left and grab and proceed further into the room. Grab the key near the bridge as this will be your means of escape later on. Be mindful of the patrolling Jotun indicated by the red square. TIP: It is recommended that you assassinate the three Jotnar to prevent any complications while crossing the bridge. |

Two guards are stationed in the next room facing away from the you. Sneak through the small hole at the other end. TIP: Eliminating the guards via the chandelier on top of them will NOT alert the entire area. |

Position yourself beside the totem at the end of the corridor. |
 |
Enter the cauldron area via the threshold. Make sure that the Jotun across the room is facing the other way first before entering. |
 |
Once you retrieve the cauldron, make your way back to the bridge and escape via unlocking the door. WARNING: The three Jotnar from the other end of the bridge may have respawned by the time you get back. Make sure that none are facing your way before jumping down towards the door. |
