The quest starts at Petuaria Ruins if the Road to Hamartia quest was completed last.

Quest Walkthrough

1 HonorMeet Faravid in Stenwege Travel to Stenwege Camp and speak to Faravid to trigger a cutscene.

Report to Ljufvina		 Head north towards Magnis' staging grounds and speak to Ljufvina to initiate the assault on Magnis Fortress.
Dialogue options during the cutscene are inconsequential to the story.

Negotiate with the Pict envoy		 Approach the Pict envoy to trigger a cutscene.
The assault begins immediately after the cutscene.

Extend the ladders		 Extend the ladders by shooting their links.
TIP: Shoot the springald's weak spot to disable it.

Breach the gate		 Unbar the gate from the other side via the path to the left.

Breach the palisade		 Breach the palisade by throwing nearby oil jars at it.
TIP: The way is defended by a springald. Shoot its weak spot to disable it.

Shoot links to lower the Drawbridge		 The two links of the drawbridge can be easily shot from either side of the wall in front of the drawbridge.

Secure the inner courtyard		 Eliminate all enemies in the inner courtyard. The assault ends once the inner courtyard is clear.

Defend Magnis Fortress		 The Picts will immediately attempt to regain Magnis Fortress.
The Picts will eventually bring a ram to the gate. Eliminate its operators to secure your position.
The Pict's Champion will show up once the ram operators have been dealt with. Eliminate him to end their assault.
Speak to Halfdan afterward to initiate a cutscene.

Kill Ricsige		 Chase Ricsige down and kill him.
A cutscene will play out once Ricsige's health drops to zero. The quest finishes after the cutscene.
TIP: Shoot Ricsige with arrows to slow him down.
