When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Brave Chrom are +Spd and -Res. Boosting Spd improves his already amazing offensive potential and will ensure that he doubles his enemies for the knockout, while obtaining Special charges faster with the acceleration provided by Geirdriful.
His Res is a dump stat and lowering it further will not affect any of his matchups. Thus, it is a safe bane to take.
We recommand a +Spd IV when merging Brave Chrom to +10 for similar reasons above.

Chrom makes great use of Galeforce with his Special acceleration and extra action from his assist. Surge Sparrow's healing will not trigger, but it is still better than Swift Sparrow 3.

It is worth noting that using A Fate Changed! applies 【Isolation】 to Brave Chrom and copies any other visible 【Bonus】 effects on his target ally, which enhances Geirdriful's bonus in-combat stat buffs.
Brave Chrom continues the trend of Chrom alts receiving busted assist skills; this time being A Fate Changed!.
A Fate Changed! is a Reposition effect that grants Brave Chrom an extra action after use. After using it on an ally, Brave Chrom receives all 【Bonus】 effects that were active on the target ally, excluding stat bonuses, therefore enhancing the bonus stats granted by Geirdriful.

It wouldn't be a modern Chrom alt without a new broken assist skill, and A Fate Changed! proves us right once again.
Brave Chrom continues the trend of having terrible Res with his base 17 Res stat. With a Res stat this low, he will be a sitting duck against enemies that deal magic damage, unless both the damage reduction and stat bonuses granted by Geirdriful are active.
Brave Chrom takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Thani or Binding Reginleif, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him/her down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!

Inf. Spd Tactic is only found on Brave Chrom as of August 17, 2022. Despite this, it requires proper teambuilding in order to trigger its effects.
It is possible to acquire two of these skills at the same time with one copy of Brave Chrom by inheriting the prerequisite skills first.
