When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Wind Tribe Claude are +Spd and -Def. Claude's Spd is among the best in the game at base 47, and boosting it improves his matchups by guaranteeing he can outspeed his foes.
Both of Claude's defensive stats are below average; we recommend Def as a bane as it is lower and will have less impact when reduced.
We recommend +Spd when merging Wind Tribe Claude up to +10 to ensure he is among the fastest units on the battlefield.

Wind Tribe Claude is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Wind Tribe Claude's exclusive weapon Playful Pinwheel grants him 【Null Follow-Up】 and 【Null Panic】 at the start of turn.
In combat, Playful Pinwheel grants Claude Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 and an Atk/Spd bonus equal to double the number of non-stat bonuses applied to himself and non-stat penalties applied to his foe.
More importantly, Playful Pinwheel grants Special cooldown charges before his initial attack and before his follow-up attack, allowing him to charge up Lethality or any other offensive Special he has and trigger it on his attacks. This effect bypasses traditional Guard effects as the Special charges are granted directly before Claude's attacks!
Wind Tribe Claude's exclusive B skill Deep Star grants him 【Canto (1)】, damage reduction on his foe's first attack (melee 80%, ranged 30%), and inflicts a Spd/Def-5 penalty on his foe during combat.
After combat, if Claude attacked, Deep Star grants Claude the 【Deep Star】 status and inflicts 【Gravity】 onto his foe and all adjacent foes. The 【Deep Star】 status protects Claude by granting him 80% damage reduction on the first attack he receives during enemy phase.
This skill provides both mobility and survivability and is a great skill to use in battle!
As a flying unit, Wind Tribe Claude takes 1.5x damage from bows and weapons effective on flying units. Be sure to keep them out of the range of archers and leave them to other units.
