When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Spring Chrom are +Spd and -Res. A higher Spd stat allows Chrom to get a ton of follow-up attacks on his foes. His Res is already low, so it is safe for him to take it as a bane.

This build utilizes Spring Chrom's bulk to withstand physical attacks from his foes. Arcane Downfall and Atk/Def Bulwark provide sustain to keep him alive through multiple engagements. Quick Riposte grants the follow-up attack he desperately needs.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Spring Chrom is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Spring Chrom's weapon, Carrot Axe+, heals him for 4 HP after he attacks an enemy When paired-up with allies that can take him out of the danger zone before the enemy phase starts, he makes for a very sustainable unit.
Axe units will get 2x as much experience as long as Spring Chrom is active on the battlefield. Be sure to use him and keep him alive whenever training with Axe units as this greatly reduces the amount of time needed to max them out.
Spring Chrom has average stats and his skills do not boast anything special. This makes it hard for him to fill specific niches in your team. Consider inheriting skills and merging your Spring Chrom for him to be more effective in battles.

Value of Skills | ★★☆☆☆ |
---|
Spring Chrom does not have any skills that are worth fodderring off to another unit, so if you draw two of him, you may as well just merge them. However, he does have a weapon with a unique design, so you may consider having another axe unit of yours inherit it if you like the look.
Spring Chrom is a limited time Hero who can be pulled from a Special Heroes Summoning Event. They do not appear in regular summons.
Note: Not currently a featured hero in any Summon events.

Spring’s in bloom! Spring gives me strength! You will not stop my festivity! I say when winter’s over! |

Ah, if it isn’t {Summoner}! I just finished painting some spring-festival eggs. Not bad, if I say so myself. Take a look. What? Curious what all that lettering is? It’s written in the language of Ylisse. It’s a bit of a poem, I guess, that says how much I value your presence here. And see? On this side, I’ve painted a picture of you. Good likeness, don’t you think? What, it isn’t? Well, I tried, and at least now you know that I truly do value our strong bond. Now, may we spend many spring festivals together and...I promise to work on my painting skills. |
