What Kind of Character Are They? | ・Fellowship Blade grants Def/Res+6, 【Bulwark】, and 【Null Panic】 to Hector and nearby allies, inflicts Atk/Def penalties and a Guard effect onto foe during combat, grants Hector bonus true damage and true damage reduction. ・Oath of Ostia applies 【Divine Vein (Stone)】 after every action, inflicts Atk/Def-10 onto foe, grants Hector Special cooldown -2 before foe's first attack and 50% damage reduction piercing. |
Might: 16 Range: 1 Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). At start of player phase or enemy phase, if unit is within 2 spaces of an ally, grants Def/Res+6, 【Bulwark】, and 【Null Panic】 to unit and allies within 2 spaces of unit for 1 turn. If unit is within 3 spaces of an ally, inflicts penalty on foe's Atk/Def = 20% of unit's Def at start of combat + 6, unit deals +X damage (X = highest total bonuses among unit and allies within 2 spaces of unit; excluding area-of-effect Specials), reduces damage from foe's attacks by 50% of X (excluding area-of-effect Specials), and inflicts Special cooldown charge -1 on foe per attack during combat (only highest value applied; does not stack). |
Cooldown Count = 3 Boosts Special damage by 40% of unit's Def. If foe's Range = 2 and unit or foe's Special is ready or triggered before or during this combat, reduces damage from foe's next attack by 40% (once per combat; excluding area-of-effect Specials). |
Grants HP+5. After unit acts (if Canto triggers, after Canto), or, if defending in Aether Raids, at the start of enemy phase, applies 【Divine Vein (Stone)】 to unit's space and spaces within 2 spaces of unit for 1 turn. If foe initiates combat or foe's HP ≥ 75% at start of combat, inflicts Atk/Def-10 on foe, grants Special cooldown count-2 to unit before foe's first attack, and reduces the percentage of foe's non-Special "reduce damage by X%" skills by 50% during combat (excluding area-of-effect Specials). |
If foe initiates combat or if unit's HP ≥ 25% at start of combat, inflicts Atk-5 on foe, deals +X damage (X = 20% of unit's Def; excluding area-of-effect Specials), reduces damage from foe's attacks by X (excluding area-of-effect Specials), unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack, and neutralizes foe's bonuses during combat. |
If foe with Range = 2 initiates combat against an ally within 2 spaces of unit, triggers 【Savior】 on unit. If foe's Range = 2, grants Atk/Def+4 to unit during combat, any "reduces damage by X%" effect that can be triggered only once per combat by unit's equipped Special skill can be triggered up to twice per combat (excludes boosted Special effects from engaging; only highest value applied; does not stack), and restores 7 HP to unit when unit deals damage to foe during combat (triggers even if 0 damage is dealt). |
Unit can counterattack regardless of foe's range. |

◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Attuned Hector are +Def and -Spd. Hector's Def is among the highest in the game at base 48, raised to 52 with a superboon. Boosting Def helps Hector perform better as a physical tank.
+Res is also an option if opting for a Far Save build with Attuned Hector's base kit. Hector's Res is at base 45, raised to 49 with a superboon, which is respectable and enough to soak some magic attacks.
Attuned Hector's Spd is a clear dump stat and should be taken as a bane.
We recommend a +Def or +Res IV when merging Attuned Hector up to +10 depending on his role on your team.

This build uses Shield Fighter and Oath of Ostia to pre-charge Aegis over and over again. The combination of these two skills counters any Scowl effects that are applied to Hector.

Attuned Hector's base kit also works well as a tank build while retaining high nuking power on the retaliation attack.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Attuned Hector is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Attuned Hector's exclusive weapon Fellowship Blade grants Def/Res+6, 【Bulwark】, and 【Null Panic】 to Hector and nearby allies at the start of player phase and enemy phase.
These buffs being granted during phases instead of turns is helpful, as it impacts the map immediately and can even dodge effects like Elimine's Staff of the Saint.
In combat, Fellowship Blade inflicts an Atk/Def penalty on Hector's foe equal to 20% of his Def, grants Hector bonus true damage and true damage reduction based on the highest total bonuses among Hector and his nearby allies, and applies a Guard effect to his foe's attacks.
Fellowship Blade is one of the best defensive weapons in the game and works very well with Attuned Hector's other skills and stat spread.
Attuned Hector's exclusive A skill Oath of Ostia has built-in HP+5 and applies 【Divine Vein (Stone)】 to nearby terrain after his action and immediately during Aether Raids if on a defense team.
In combat, Oath of Ostia inflicts Atk/Def-10 onto Attuned Hector's foe and grants Hector Special cooldown count -2 before his foe's first attack and 50% damage reduction piercing.
The Special cooldown skipping effect being applied before his foe's first attack can be taken advantage of by equipping defensive skills like Pavise or Aegis to make Attuned Hector as tanky as possible. It also works with his base kit's Armored Beacon to immediately activate the damage reduction effect as well.
Combining the Special skipping effect and the 【Divine Vein (Stone)】 with Attuned Hector's stat spread makes him one of the best, if not the best tank in the game.
Attuned Hector's base stats are all very high on key stats, sitting at base 48 HP, 48 Def, and 45 Res for his bulk, and base 49 for his Atk. With this kind of statline, Attuned Hector is flexible and can be built depending on your team's needs.
He is geared towards optimal tanking while also having high Atk for return damage on his counterattacks.
Attuned Hector takes 1.5x damage from armor-effective weapons like Randgríðr, and one blow from this type of weapon will deal significant damage. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!

What needs to be changed to make him a near save? The C skill & special? I wish i had more savior fodder. At least with this hero, i can put shield fighter & near save when i finally get them, & at least get it on 1 extra hero. I've always thought it was weird to have higher Def on a far save unit, & hector seems to always have this. Is it just to make him a jack of all trades kinda thing? So he can withstand some physical punishment, too?

Im not surprised they made another character that can be switched betweem near and far save and is a fodder bank aswell. He might be relevent for a long time. But yh C and special should be changed to make him a far save, I wonder if they will make a save skill.like 'Def/Res Twin O Save' which could save both near and far (the O stands for Omni). They probably wouldnt otherwise this would be the first character to put it on in my opinion
