Neutral IVs by default!

As a hero obtainable only through Grand Hero Battle, Hilda (Genealogy) will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.

+Atk / -Def

Hilda's best IVs are +Atk and -Def. Her Atk stat is high and the Dominance effect together with a superboon increases her damage output immensely to achieve KOs. Her Spd is lackluster, thus we need as much nuking power as possible.

Her Def is a dump stat and is a safe bane to take.

+Atk for a +10 merge

We recommend +Atk when merging Hilda up to +10 for similar reasons above. It is by far her best stat and her Spd is unsalvageable.

This build stacks up on visible penalties to deal as much true damage as possible with Fiery Bolganone's Dominance effect. Spd/Def Menace would be the better C slot once it's released.

Hilda is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Hilda (Genealogy) Strengths

Fiery Bolganone grants a pseudo-Menace effect and Dominance

Hilda's unique red tome Fiery Bolganone grants Res+3, inflicts an Atk/Res-6 visible penalty on the nearest foe and grants Atk/Res+6 during combat and 【Dominance】.

Dominance is similar to effects like Broadleaf Fan+ in a way; it grants bonus damage based on penalties on the opponent.

The main difference between Dominance and the Broadleaf effect is that Dominance is true damage. True damage is dealt to opponents even if their Def/Res is higher than attackers Atk stat.

True damage effects do not scale with skills like Glimmer, Draconic Aura, Heavy Blade, and the weapon triangle.

Dominance was previously only present through Bridal Micaiah's Duo Skill. Now, we have it on a prf weapon.

Rouse Atk/Res 3 grants visible bonuses at the start of the turn

Hilda also comes with Rouse Atk/Res 3. Together with Fiery Bolganone, this simulates an Atk/Res Menace effect.

The visible bonuses granted by Rouse Atk/Res 3 also activate Hilda's Atk/Res Ideal 3!

Fiery Bolganone has space restrictions

Fiery Bolganone is a powerful tome, but it has weaknesses as well. The Dominance and stat penalties are only applied if a foe is within 4 spaces of Hilda, while the stat bonuses are only granted when Hilda initiates combat or is not adjacent to an ally.

Ranged cavalry units like Reinhardt and Summer Leonie can engage and attack from 5 spaces away, outranging Fiery Bolganone's effects!
