Summer Ashe Skills at 5★

Might: 16 Range: 1
Grants Atk+3. If unit initiates combat or if foe's HP ≥ 75% at start of combat, grants Atk/Spd/Def+3 to unit during combat, and also if foe has Atk/Spd/Def bonuses, grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd/Def and inflicts penalty on foe's Atk/Spd/Def during combat = current bonus on each of foe's Atk/Spd/Def. Calculates each stat bonus independently.

Cooldown Count = 2
Treats foe's Def/Res as if reduced by 30% during combat.

Grants HP+5, Atk/Spd/Def/Res+2. If unit is 5★, lvl 40, a Legendary Hero or a Mythic Hero, and unit's stats total less than 175, treats unit's stats as 175 in modes like Arena. If unit is 5★, lvl 40, not a Legendary Hero or Mythic Hero, and unit's stats total less than 180, treats unit's stats as 180 in modes like Arena. (Higher-scoring opponents will appear. Stat total calculation excludes any values added by merges and skills.)

Enables【Canto (Rem. +1)】.
Inflicts Spd/Def-3 on foe during combat.
【Canto (Rem. +1)】
After an attack, Assist skill, or structure destruction, unit can move spaces = any movement not already used that turn + 1. (If unit used a movement skill that warped them, its remaining movement is 0.)
(Unit moves according to movement type. Once per turn, cannot attack or assist. Only highest value applied. Does not stack. After moving, if a skill that grants another action would be triggered (like with Galeforce), Canto will trigger again. Unit's base movement has no effect on movement granted. Cannot warp (using skills like Wings of Mercy) a distance greater than unit's remaining movement +1.)

At start of turn, if unit is adjacent to an ally, grants Spd+5 to unit and adjacent allies for 1 turn.

Summer Ashe Best IVs

Recommended IVs

Stat Superboon/Superbane IV Recommendation
HP (18) HP Superbane ★★★☆☆
Atk (9) No Attack IV ★★★★☆
Spd (11) Spd Boon ★★★★★
Def (6) No Def IV ★★★☆☆
Res (5) Res Bane ★★☆☆☆

◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws

See the IV Checker for All Units Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Spd/-Res

The best IVs for Summer Ashe are +Spd and -Res. His Atk is already very high and increasing his Spd will allow him to stand toe to toe with the other extremely speedy units in the game like Legendary Dimitri and Ninja Hana.

His Res is already pretty low, so it would safe to take it as his bane.

+Spd for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Ashe to 10.

This is for the same reasons as above, though you can also opt for +Atk if you would like him to hit harder.

Summer Ashe Best Builds

Arena Summer Ashe

HOT
Emblem Icon: -
Attuned Skill Icon: -

How to Use, Explanation

This build maximizes Arena scoring while retaining Ashe's offensive prowess. Atk/Spd Menace may be used instead of Joint Drive Atk if you prefer Ashe to excel more at the cost of having less support for his allies.

General Use Summer Ashe

HOT
Special Skill IconMoonbow
Emblem Icon: -
Attuned Skill Icon: -

How to Use, Explanation

This build maximizes Ashe's attack and speed to quickly eliminate an enemy and then retreat using S/D Near Trace 3. Atk/Spd Solo 3 may be used in the seal slot if you elect to give Ashe dual-phase buffs, but take note that this will reduce his player phase potential by a bit.

Summer Ashe is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Summer Ashe Strengths

Steals foe's bonuses to Atk/Spd/Def through Divine Sea Spear!

Summer Ashe Buffs Fire Emblem Heroes FEH

Buffs are granted to Ashe upon initiating, but Divine Sea Spear doesn't stop there!

Divine Sea Spear can do the following if Ashe initiates combat, or if foe's HP ≥ 75% in the enemy phase:

  1. Grants Atk/Spd/Def +3 to Ashe
  2. Grants any Atk/Spd/Def bonuses from foe to Ashe
  3. Erases the buffs from foe!

This ensures Ashe hits hard, and helps in scoring follow-up attacks regardless of how buffed up enemy units are! If the foe is heavily buffed in Atk/Spd/Def stats, this weapon is sure to turn the tides of combat.

B Duel Cavalry 4 Raises your Arena score

B Duel Cavalry 4 is a special skill that treats the unit’s stats as 175 in the Arena, allowing your overall score to increase when using Summer Ashe.

It is usable by any blue cavalry unit, so equip it and increase your score as you would like, but keep in mind that as an A slot skill it means you will lose the ability to useful, powerful A skills like Fury 4 or Death Blow 4.

Because it is an upgrade from B Duel Cavalry 3, it also gives Atk/Spd/Def/Res +2 on top of the original +5 HP.

S/D Near Trace 3 Enables Canto

Summer Ashe Fire Emblem Heroes FEH

Ashe is able to move after combat!

【Canto (Rem. +1)】allows Summer Ashe to move again after performing an attack, Assist skill, or structure destruction.

This is will allow him to reposition himself to safety after attacking, or if he's low health, will allow him to move closer to the enemy team and allies with Wings of Mercy 3 can swoop in to her side for surprise attacks.

Summer Ashe Weaknesses

B Duel Cavalry 4 is mainly for scoring purposes

While B Duel Cavalry 4 does give some nice stats, the A skill can be home to very powerful skills that are cornerstones for great builds. If you plan to use Summer Ashe outside of the Arena, make sure to get him an A skill that allows him to perform better in combat.

Low Res makes him vulnerable to magic users or those that calculate lower stats

Summer Ashe has low Res at Lvl 40, which will make him an easy target of tome users or dragon units. Examples of these are Reinhardt, Myrrh, or even Petrine!

Be careful when he's within range of these types of units and have him retreat to safety!

Weak to Cavalry Effective Weapons

Summer Ashe takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Ridersbane or a Wolf weapon like Rauðrwolf+, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!

Summer Ashe as a Source Hero

Summer Ashe Avatar

Value of Skills ★★★★★

The following skills have inheritance value:

  • B Duel Cavalry 4
  • S/D Near Trace 3
  • Joint Hone Spd

As of June 2021, Summer Ashe is the only unit to have access to B Duel Cavalry 4. This is a very useful skill that can enable a fan favorite like Reinhardt to score better in the Arena!

Though Ashe is a powerful hero, it is definitely worth fodderring him off to a favorite cavalry unit.
