How to Unlock Strange Gathering Quest
Strange Gathering can be unlocked by completing the Pale Wasteland main story commission of the Into That Pale Wasteland event.
Succeeding quests to Strange Gathering can also be unlocked by completing Cutting Through Wrong Paths and Into the End.

Strange Gathering is a Section 6 Operation quest in the Into That Pale Wasteland event. In this quest, Harumasa will ask for your help to defeat the powerful enemies roaming near their base of operations, Cocytus.

Eliminate the Powerful Enemies

| 1 | After accepting the quest, talk to Harumasa to learn more about the situation before heading out. |
| 2 | Follow the quest marker across the Melinoe Hollow to track the powerful Ethereal enemy. |
| 3 | Defeat the three Hoplitai and the Farbauti upon arriving in the first combat area. |
| 4 | After opening the passage to the second combat area, defeat Greta to complete this quest. |

Eliminate the Powerful Enemies Nearby

| 1 | After accepting the quest, speak Harumasa to confirm the operation targets. |
| 2 | Follow the quest marker across the Melinoe Hollow to track the powerful Ethereal enemy. |
| 3 | Defeat the two waves of enemies consisting of two Tyrfing and Alpeca upon arriving in the first combat area. |
| 4 | Upon arriving in the next combat area, defeat the Dullahan and talk to Harumasa afterward to complete this commission. |

Eliminate the Powerful Enemies Nearby With Harumasa
| Step | Objective |
|---|---|
| 1 | After accepting the quest, discuss and confirm the operation target with Harumasa and the Executive Branch Member before setting out. |
| 2 | Follow the quest marker across the Melinoe Hollow to track the powerful Ethereal enemy. Be careful of the mine traps present throughout the area. |
| 3 | Defeat the two Faun and Alpeca upon arriving in the first combat area. |
| 4 | Accompanied by two Hoplitai, defeat the Hati to draw out the target of the operation. |
| 5 | Finally, eliminate the Notorious - Dullahan and speak with Harumasa to complete the quest. |

- Confirm the Operation Targets
- Take the Elevator to Locate the Target
- Defeat the Highly Dangerous Target
Confirm the Operation Targets With Asaba Harumasa
As with the previous quests, discuss and confirm the operation targets with Harumasa and the Executive Branch Member before heading out.
Take the Elevator to Locate the Target
| Step | Objective |
|---|---|
| 1 | Once you arrive on the first combat area, defeat the Mandrake, Alpeca, and the two Hoplitai to proceed. |
| 2 | Once the area is secure, interact with the Ether Topology Disruptors to make your way to the elevator. Ride the elevator upwards after. |
| 3 | Eliminate the Farbauti in the second area then jump in to the Spatial Fissure to move to the boss area. |
Defeat the Highly Dangerous Target
Defeat Unknown Corruption Complex to put an end to the enemy threats surrounding Cocytus.
Report back to Harumasa and the Executive Branch Member to complete this quest.
