How to Unlock Primordial Nightmare
Confront Sarah in Season 2 Chapter 6
Proxies can unlock Primordial Nightmare by playing through the Season 2 Chapter 6 Main Story Quest, To Be Fuel for the Night. You will face the boss as part of your encounter with Sarah. After that, she will be available in Hollow Zero as one of the boss enemies.

Avoid Control Skills
Getting hit with a Control Skill will limit your options in battle, so be sure to avoid their first phase using Dodges and Perfect Assists. You will then need to counter the consecutive attacks that follow by timing your assists.
Avoiding these attacks will be a bit more challenging than usual since they will have no flash indicators when used.
Ultimates Unavailable in Control Mode
While the boss is using its Control Skill, players cannot trigger Ultimates. Additionally, you can only switch Agents once during each attack with each Agent being able to dodge once.
Force Boss Out of Miasmic Shield State
Primordial Nightmare becomes more aggressive when its Miasmic Shield is activated. You can force the boss out of this state by reducing its Miasmic Shield by a certain amount.
However, keep in mind that Primordial Nightmare can return to its Miasmic Shield state after accumulating a certain amount of Daze.
