Zenless Zone Zero - Aftershock Guide

Aftershock is a type of attack introduced in Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) Version 1.6. Check out how to trigger Aftershocks, what they are, and a list of characters that use them here!

How to Trigger an Aftershock

Bring Along a Character that Uses Aftershocks

Have Teammates that Can Do Aftershocks

To begin triggering Aftershocks, it goes without saying that one must have a character that has Aftershocks in their repertoire.

Get to know your characters first and see which characters can do Aftershocks, then put them in your team.

Set Up Your Aftershocks

Trigger

During battle, make it a point to gather an Aftershock character's necessary resource to trigger Aftershocks.

Characters like Trigger and Ju Fufu need resources called Purge and Might, respectively, to trigger their Aftershocks. Take a look at your characters' kits to see which attacks can accumulate these resources before continuing.

Use Heavy Attacks with Other Teammates

Now that the stage is set, all you need to do is switch to a different character and use Heavy Attacks to trigger Aftershocks. You can distinguish Heavy Attacks from Light Attacks if they are capable of interrupting or launching enemies.

Heavy Attacks also trigger Chain Attacks. Simply use those attacks and the Aftershock character should perform an Aftershock attack!

What Is an Aftershock?

Additional Attack from Party Members

Aftershock is a special type of attack that deals additional damage to the enemy. Aftershock DMG is only considered as such if it's mentioned in a character's kit.

Certain characters like Pulchra and Trigger can unleash Aftershock attacks even if they're not the current active unit in combat.
