There are now eight stages in Perpetrator Battle, each with its own trial characters and Bangboo. In each stage, Proxies may only use the given characters and Bangboo to fulfill all given objectives.
Trial Character | |
---|---|
Trial Bangboos | Low Activity High Activity |
Stage Buffs | Tactical Instructions: • The 3rd hit of Basic Attack, EX Special Attack: Sharknami, Dodge Counter: Reef Rock, and other skills trigger an additional Icy Blade, dealing Ice DMG to enemies in a large area in front and reducing their DEF. When the additional Icy Blade is triggered, Icy Blade's CRIT DMG increases. Tactical Enhancement: • Icy Blade DMG increases by 50%. |
In Slumber Hunt, Proxies will only be able to use Ellen. If you have this character recruited, you can opt to use your own build instead of the trial build.

The 3rd hit of Basic Attack, EX Special Attack: Sharknami, Dodge Counter: Reef Rock, and other skills trigger an additional Icy Blade, dealing Ice DMG to enemies in a large area in front and reducing their DEF. When the additional Icy Blade is triggered, Icy Blade's CRIT DMG increases. |
![]() |
When Roaming, Ellen gains Flash Freeze Charge and Quick Charge. When Ellen hits an enemy with Swift Scissors or Charged Scissor Strike during Dash Attack: Arctic Ambush, she leaves an Icy Mist on the ground, which deals Ice DMG over time to enemies and reduces their Ice RES. Ellen's Anti-Interrupt level increases and she gains DMG reduction while in the Icy Mist. |
![]() |
Ellen applies a Hunting mark to a random enemy. When hitting an enemy marked with Hunting with EX Special Attack or Swift Scissors/Charged Scissor Strike during Dash Attack: Arctic Ambush, Ellen can immediately trigger the skill again with no cost or other requirements and increased CRIT DMG. When she has an excess of Flash Freeze Charge, Ellen's ATK increases. |
![]() |
When possessing Flash Freeze Charge, the third segment of Basic Attack: Flash Freeze Trimming replaces Dash Attack: Cold Snap. During the skill's activation, gain a shield that increases Anti-Interrupt Level and reduces DMG taken. Activating Dodge Counter: Reef Rock grants Ellen Flash Freeze Charge. |
![]() |
When launching an EX Special Attack, Chain Attack, or Ultimate, Ellen leaves behind a patch of Icy Mist on the ground, dealing Ice DMG over time to enemies and reducing their Ice RES. When Ellen attacks an enemy within the Icy Mist, an extra instance of Icy Mist DMG will be triggered. |
![]() |
While she has Hunter's Fin, applying a Hunting mark to an enemy increases DMG dealt by Ellen. When a marked target is defeated, the DMG buff of the current Gear gets an additional increase for the current Hollow. |

Many of Ellen's Resonia increase her attacks via Dodge Counters such as Blade of Frost. Most enemies in Slumber Hunt will have predictable attack patterns that are easy to see from miles away, so be diligent in dodging!
Perfect Dodge and Dodge Counter Guide
The Dangerous Bearings Resonium gives Ellen Flash Freeze Charges whenever she enters her Roaming state. If you ever run out of Ice infusion, run all around the battlefield to restore your charges.

Thanks to the Kagura's Dance Resonium, the 5th hit and 4th hit of Jougen stance and Kagen stance, respectively, are now modified—simply press the button repeatedly to have Yanagi slash enemies infinitely!
The great thing about this is that it hits in an AoE, allowing you to effectively take down waves of enemies. Additionally, it's a great way to stack up on Electric Anomaly Buildup while keeping a safe distance!
The Soaring Moonlight Resonium will have the same effect on Yanagi's EX Special Attack as the Kagura's Dance does on her Basic Attacks—hold down the EX Special Attack button to extend her Thunderbolt duration!
This will also render Yanagi invulnerable for as long as the Thunderbolt attacks persist!

![]() |
After Hoshimi Miyabi activates Dodge Counter: Kan Suzume and Quick Assist: Dancing Petals, she will automatically chain into the ALT Frost Storm, unleashing a blast of air to attack nearby enemies and inflicting a substantial amount of Daze. The Snow Debris Resonium enables Miyabi's Ultimate to fully restore 6 Fallen Frost stacks and restores Decibels based on the charge level of Shimotsuki unleashed.
Keeping this in mind, you should balance her Ultimate and Charge LVL 3 Shimotsuki, and mix them up. Start with a LVL3 charged attack, followed by an Ultimate, then unleash another LVL3 charged attack!
The Endless Blizzard Resonium enables Miyabi to use her EX Special Attack without consuming Energy after inflicting Frostburn on an enemy. Do take note that this applies on only one instance of EX Special Attack.
That means that after inflicting Frostburn on an enemy and you only have Energy for one EX Special Attack, you can do two since the first one will be free! Use this to your advantage when taking on large groups of enemies!

Billy excels in long-ranged combat, so be sure to keep your distance when fighting enemies, especially Elites and Bosses.
You can do this by relying on Dodge Counters or simply dashing away when the enemy gets too close.
Perfect Dodge and Dodge Counters
The Rotating Drivetrain Resonium allows Billy to repeatedly use his Dash Attack after an EX Special Attack or a Chain Attack. This is extremely useful when you're dealing with large crowds of enemies.
However, this Dash Attack can only be repeated based on the number of Charges you gain. Each use of Billy's EX Special Attack or Chain Attack will give him one stack of Charge.

Low-Combustion Coating | When Evelyn consumes Burning Tether Point to activate Chain Attack: Lunalux - Snare, it will be replaced by Chain Attack: Lunalux - Entanglement, significantly reducing skill duration. When Evelyn's Chain Attack hits enemies, the attack's DMG increases. |
Portable Detonator | When Evelyn exits Binding Seal, she enters Ignite Preparation, during which the next Dash Attack: Piercing Ambush will be replaced with Dash Attack: Ambush Blast. Dash Attack: Ambush Blast is considered a Chain Attack. When Evelyn uses Basic Attack: Garrote, she will exit Binding Seal. |
Ultimate Contingency Protocol | When Evelyn is about to be staggered by a frontal attack, she will consume Assist Point to automatically trigger Defensive Assist, blocking enemy attacks and enabling an ALT Assist. Follow-Up: Course Disruption. When Evelyn activates Defensive Assist, her CRIT DMG increases. |
Sheathed Blade | When activating a Chain Attack, Evelyn gains the Swift Blade effect, increasing Chain Attack DMG. This effect lasts for the entire combat. |
Binding Arts | When Evelyn enters Binding Seal, her ATK increases, while the target enemy's ATK decreases. Upon exiting Binding Seal, she detonates the target enemy, dealing additional Fire DMG. |

Perfect Dodge and Dodge Counters
Take advantage of the stage buff and Low-Combustion Coating Resonia to complete this stage. Hold down the Basic Attack or Special Attack while consuming Burning Tether Points to trigger Lunalux - Entanglement, reducing skill duration while increasing damage. Keep chaining attacks to continuously boost your damage output and clear enemies faster.

Trial Bangboos | |
Stage Buffs | Tactical Instructions: • After using a Special Attack, accumulate Starlight (displayed on the left side of Astra Yao) through Basic Attacks. Starlight can stack up to 3 times. Hold Basic Attack to launch Basic Attack: Radiant Moment, consuming Starlight to channel a sustained energy beam attack against enemies. • Basic Attack: Radiant Moment DMG increases by 100%. |
In Guest Tour, Proxies can only use Astra. If you have this character recruited, you can opt to use your own build instead of the trial build.
Resonia | Resonia Effect |
---|---|
Radiant Moment | For every 25 Energy consumed, Astra Yao gains 1 stack of Starlight, up to 3 stacks. During Idyllic Cadenza, hold to unleash Basic Attack: Radiant Moment, continuously channeling an energy beam to attack enemies. Upon activating this skill, Starlight will be consumed to extend the skill duration. During this skill, the Anti-Interrupt Level is increased, and DMG taken is further reduced. When the skill hits enemies, target's DEF is reduced. After gaining 3 stacks of Starlight, switching back to Astra Yao will automatically trigger Basic Attack: Radiant Moment. |
Hollow Symphony | For every 25 Energy consumed, Astra Yao gains 1 stack of Starlight, stacking up to 3 times. Each stack of Starlight increases the DMG dealt by Tremolo when released and additionally released while she is in the Idyllic Cadenza state. Holding to perform Basic Attack: Finale or Basic Attack: Radiant Moment consumes Starlight while increasing the attack's DMG and restoring Energy to Astra Yao. When Astra Yao hits enemies with Basic Attack: Interlude, additional Energy will be consumed. When hitting enemies with Basic Attack: Chorus, additional Energy will be restored. |
Harmonic Echo | During Idyllic Cadenza, increases CRIT Rate for all squad members. Excess CRIT Rate will be converted to CRIT DMG. When the active character hits enemies with EX Special Attack, Astra Yao will recover Energy and launch an additional Tremolo attack. |
Perfect Save | DMG dealt by Basic Attack: Radiant Moment will be considered as EX Special Attack DMG. During this skill, all squad members' Crit Rate is increased. |
Scattered Melody | With enough energy, releasing or following up with a Tremolo attack while in the Idyllic Cadenza state will additionally deal two instances of identical Tremolo DMG. When Astra Yao hits enemies with Basic Attack: Interlude or Basic Attack: Chorus, there's a chance to gain the Inspiration effect, allowing her next Dodge to directly trigger Perfect Dodge, which can be followed up with Basic Attack: Chorus. |
Aria of the Gentle Wind | While in the Idyllic Cadenza state, Astra Yao's Anti-Interrupt Level increases, and she takes less DMG. All squad members' PEN Ratio increases, and they gradually recover HP. |

Even though Astra will be fighting alone and is originally designed to provide support to DPS units, fret not—Basic Attack: Radiant Moment turns her into one.
This skill enables her to launch a powerful Ether particle beam at enemies directly in front of her. Once 25 Energy is consumed, hold down the Basic Attack button to unleash the laser and deal DMG to all enemies in your path!
Repeatedly using her EX Special Attack enables Astra to travel far distances, which is useful for evading enemy attacks! In addition, holding down the EX Special Attack button will render her invulnerable while casting!
Use this tactic to negate any incoming DMG and stay safe. When push comes to shove, use her Ultimate to restore your HP!
Trial Character | |

Stage Buffs | Tactical Instructions: • When in the Passion state, hold Basic Attack to perform Basic Attack: Salchow Jump. Release just before being hit to trigger a Finishing Move and activate a Perfect Dodge. When the attack duration reaches maximum or when a Perfect Dodge is triggered by the Finishing Move, it will be enhanced and become Salchow Jump: Airborne Tactical Enhancement: • Salchow Jump DMG increases by 60%. |
In Cat & Mouse, Proxies can only use Jane. If you have this character recruited, you can opt to use your own build instead of the trial build.

When this skill is activated, Physical Anomaly Buildup Rate is increased. |
![]() |
When triggering a Perfect Dodge or activating a Defensive Assist, Passion Stream is greatly increased, replacing the Passion state with the Overload Passion state. In this state, Jane's ATK is additionally increased. Passion Stream will automatically decrease over time, and hitting enemies with attacks no longer consumes Passion Stream. |
![]() |
During the Passion or Overload Passion state, EX Special Attack: Aerial Sweep will be enhanced to EX Special Attack: Aerial Sweep-Onslaught. When using this skill, Jane will re-enter the Passion or Overload Passion state. When this skill hits an enemy, the target's All Anomaly Buildup RES is reduced. |
![]() |
When triggering Core Passive: Insight's Assault CRIT effect, there is a chance to further increase CRIT DMG. |
![]() |

When in the Passion State, you can use Jane's Salchow Jump spinning attack to rapidly deal Physical Anomaly Buildup to enemies by holding down the Basic Attack button. Letting it go will lead to a finisher.
This finisher is an evasive move that can trigger a Perfect Dodge. Doing so will increase Salchow Jump's finisher, which deals inceased Physical Anomaly Buildup. Be vigilant and let go of the button at just the right time!
Perfect Dodge and Dodge Counters
Thanks to the Venomous Edge Resonium, using Jane's EX Special Attack will make her re-enter the Passion State, enabling her to use Salchow Jump for a second time!
It would be wise to use her EX Special Attack after one Salchow Jump to be able to use another one, leading to more Physical Anomaly Buildup and more Assault DMG!
