Resonia are commonly obtained in Hollow Zero as a reward after completing combat zones. The higher a Resonium's rarity, the better the buffs it offers, though choosing a B-Tier Resonia may still be very useful to players.
Entering combat zones with harder enemies raises the chances of obtaining an S-Tier Resonium, while defeating the current floor's gatekeeper boss will present the player with a choice between 3 S-Tier Resonia.
Landing on event tiles may grant you Resonia in exchange for either a negative effect, like increasing Pressure, or none at all. The most common way to obtain Resonia through event tiles is coming across a Gacha tile, which simply allows you to choose a Resonium from a random pool of 3.

You can also acquire Resonia from Bangboo Merchant tiles using the Gear Coins you collect throughout your exploration in Hollow Zero. Their prices vary per rarity, though having a Resonium like [Hollow] Lucky Stars for example, can reduce their price to 0 for a one-time purchase.
Resonia are categorized into different types indicated by the bracket next to the Resonium's name and variation in themed designs.
These types may oftentimes correspond with character Attributes or Specialties; and the buffs granted by each type vary depending on its associated attribute where applicable, like [Freeze] Resonia for example, apply buffs specifically catered to an Ice Character's skills.
The attribute of a player's primary character and team composition impacts the type of Resonia they are shown. For example, if a player begins a Hollow Zero stage with a Fire Character, they will most likely be shown a majority of [Ignite] Resonia throughout their run.
The same also applies once a character with a different attribute joins the squad, the Resonia that correspond to their attribute will then become available in the Resonia pool.
Unlike other Resonia, [Bangboo] Resonia manifest physically and function similarly to actual Bangboos. Players may have these Resonia Bangboos actively providing support on the field, though they do not appear on the Chain Attack queue.
Most Resonia can be Catalyzed depending on their type, and doing so will strengthen the buffs that they apply to a player's team during combat or exploration.
Players should note that Advanced Resonium I and Advanced Resonium II Resonia can no longer be Catalyzed, as well as all [General] and [Hollow] Resonia and a select number of [Affinity] Resonia.
Bangboo Merchants can also Catalyze a player's Resonia through Resonium Catalysis. When Catalyzing Resonia through this method, a player will be asked to pick a singular Resonium within a randomized pool of up to three Resonia of the same rarity, and only the chosen Resonium will be Catalyzed.
The most common way to Catalyze Resonia without spending any resources is by going through a Resonium Catalyst tile, which allows a player to Catalyze one out of three Resonia in their inventory selected at random regardless of rarity.

Most Resonia of a specific type can be fused together to create Advanced Resonia once their fusion requirements are met. Once obtained, these Resonia grant players stronger buffs to aid them during combat in Hollow Zero.
Fusing standard Resonia do not get rid of them, and the fused Advanced Resonia's effects will stack with its prerequisite standard Resonia's effects.
Resonia are buffs granted to the player that can positively affect their combat and exploration experience. The only mild exception to this are [Artifice] Resonia, which start by granting a player debuffs until its resolve conditions are met.
