How to Unlock Missing Bangboo Quest

Missing Bangboo can be unlocked by completing the Pale Wasteland main story commission of the Into That Pale Wasteland event.

Succeeding quests to Missing Bangboo can also be unlocked by completing Cutting Through Wrong Paths and Into the End.

Find Soukaku and Ask About the Situation

After entering the Hollow, talk with Soukaku to learn more about the situation of the missing Bangboo.

Look for the Missing Agentboo

Step	Objective
1	After talking to Soukaku, follow the quest marker to start searching the trail of the missing Bangboos.
2	On the way, you must defeat four waves of Ethereal enemies. Cut them down with the help of Miyabi, Yanagi, and Soukaku.
3	After rescuing Agent Kevin from the fourth wave of enemies, follow him to the Ether Topology Disruptor. Once the terrain has shifted, follow Agent Kevin to Agent Pear's location.

Rescue Agent Pear

Step	Objective
1	Upon arriving at Agent Pear's location, defeat the Thanatos and Dullahan that will spawn.
2	After clearing the area, perform repairs on Agent Pear by completing the Bangboo circuit puzzle. Start with collecting the key found on the top right of the puzzle.
3	Afterwards, lead the power source to the destination by completing the circuit as shown above.

Connect to the Bangboo Workbench

Step	Objective
1	After repairing Agent Pear, a Bangboo Workbench will appear beside him. Go into the Marcel Maze as Eous to learn more about what happened.
2	This Marcel Maze features pads that gradually move Eous to a specified direction. Take note of the change in Eous' speed and momentum when jumping to and from these pads!
3	After climbing the area past the second checkpoint, turn right on the area shown above to collect an Irradiant Crystal.
4	Continue to follow the arrow signs and trail of Dennies to complete the Marcel Maze. Afterwards, finish the conversation with Soukaku to complete this commission.

Find Soukaku and Ask About the Situation

After accepting Missing Bangboo (II), find and ask Soukaku about the situation with Agent Jackie.

Find Agent Jackie

Step	Objective
1	After talking with Soukaku, ride the elevator down to start finding Agent Jackie. Defeat the enemies that stand in your way.
2	After securing the area, Agent Jackie can be found beside the cubic wall, to the left of the elevator.

Help Agent Jackie

Step	Objective
1	Repair Agent Jackie to learn more why it malfunctioned. Complete the circuit as shown above.
2	Help Agent Jackie locate the Bangboo Workbench by heading to the marked Hollow Data Pile. Keep the waves of enemies out of the ring to complete the data collection.
3	Once the data collection is done, go back up and give a status report to the Executive Branch Member.

Find the Marcel Maze

After discussing the situation with the Executive Branch Member, continue following the quest marker to the Marcel Maze. Defeat all enemies that spawn on the way.

Connect to the Bangboo Workbench

Step	Objective
1	Upon arriving at the area, interact with the Bangboo Workbench and go into the maze as Eous.
2	While going through the maze, collect the Irradiant Crystal found beneath a staircase shortly after the third checkpoint
3	Once you are done with the Marcel Maze, speak with Soukaku one more time to finish this quest.

Missing Bangboo (III) Quest Walkthrough

1. Meet up With Soukaku
2. Use the Beam Disruptor to Find the Passage
3. Investigate the Source of the Signal
4. Finish Investigating the Remaining Signal Points
5. Search for Agent Smartie
6. Connect to the Bangboo Workbench

Meet up With Soukaku

After starting Missing Bangboo (III), make your way down the platform and defeat the Ethereals that spawn on the way.

Use the Beam Disruptor to Find the Passage

After discussing with Soukaku, adjust the first two Ether Beam Disruptors to lead them to their receivers.

Investigate the Source of the Signal

After revealing the path to the first source of the signal, make your way to it and defeat the waves of enemies in the area.

Interact with the quest marker to learn more about the signal point

Finish Investigating the Remaining Signal Points

Step	Objective
1	Reveal the path to the next area by leading the third Ether Disruptor Beam to its receiver.
2	Upon arriving in the area, destroy the rubble marked by a blue quest marker to reveal more Signal points.

Search for Agent Smartie

Step	Objective
1	After collecting all four signal points, adjust the fourth Ether Disruptor Beam to start making your way to Agent Smartie.
2	Reveal the path to the elevator by adjusting the fifth and sixth Ether Disruptor Beams.
3	Ride the elevator downward, and adjust the seventh Ether Disruptor Beam to open the area to Agent Smartie. Afterwards, defeat the enemies in the area upon arriving.
4	Once the area is clear, adjust the final Ether Disruptor beam to Agent Smartie's platform.

Connect to the Bangboo Workbench

Step	Objective
1	After talking to Agent Smartie, interact with the Bangboo Workbench beside it to enter the Marcel Maze
2	Continue to follow the arrow signs to progress through the maze. Collect the Irradiant Crystal on the platform behind the third checkpoint.
3	After completing the Marcel Maze, discuss the aftermath of the investigation with Soukaku to complete this quest.
