The weaknesses and resistances of the enemies in Assist Alliance and Frontier are somewhat contradictory—the normal enemies will be weak to both Ether and Ice, but the elites will be weak to the former and resistant to the latter.

Hence, while bringing along a Mono-Ice Team is still viable, we recommend erring on the side of caution and rely on any other team besides it. The most optimal team is an Ether Team with the Disorder Team as a second option.

Assist Frontline Guide

Rely on Perfect Assists

This applies for both Frontline and Alliance modes. Since Assists are the name of the game in Day 5, you'd want to rely on it as much as possible. Assists are also a great way to break an enemy's attack string.

It's recommended to bring along Agents who can initiate Defensive Assists as they are more likely to cancel attack strings. Caesar, Anby, Qingyi and Nicole are all capable of this, so best bring them with you.

Balance Assists and Chain Attacks

With Assist Points and how to get them in mind, it's important to balance Chain Attacks and Perfect Assists to keep your Assist Points up.

A Disorder Team with an Assault enabler will do nicely for inflicting tons of Daze, but nothing beats having a Stun unit enable Chain Attacks for you should you fall short on Assist Points.

Target the Ahrimans First

While you may be tempted to go for the Alpecas first due to their ranged attacks, their attacks are much slower than that of the Ahrimans'. Ahrimans are melee units that swoop in on you from a distance.

Best eliminate them first then shift your attention to whatever stragglers are left. Don't forget to group enemies together for much faster progress!

Tactical Buff
Support Buff When activating a Perfect Assist, gain an additional 700 Decibels and gain one stack of Support Buff, increasing all squad members' Ultimate DMG by 60%. The Support Buff effect can stack up to 3 times, lasting 15s. Repeated triggers reset the duration.
