Spawn Camp Weaker Enemies

Watchdog Hundo in Regalith Grand Cathedral

Watchdog Hundo spawns in large groups that are easy to take down, so its a good idea to start farming them during the earlier stages of the game during the Necromancer Takedown Quest. The Hundos can be found in the lower levels of the Regalith Grand Cathedral.

Goborn in the Belega Corridor Dungeon

Goborn enemy units spawn in the last two floors of the Belega Corridor Dungeon where the Grotesque Guptauros boss is located in Brigitta's quest Bullish Embargo. You can move between these floors to respawn enemy units to farm EXP.

Tradia Desert Grinding

The player can also leave the Grand Trad and Grind enemies in the nearby Tradia Desert. Its ideal for grinding since its a small area packed with enemies. Sandworms Valno's and Hyenos are easy enough to defeat in overworld battle and are an easy way to grind EXP without having to go into Squad Battles.

You can take advantage of Synthesis Skills that attack multiple units to finish the encounters faster.

Take Advantage of Trance Crystals

Trance Crystals can spawn in dungeons. One of the first ecounters you will have with this is in the Regalith Grand Cathedral during the Necromancer Takedown Quest. The Crystal will continue to spawn enemies as long as it is not destroyed letting you farm EXP without haviing to leave and come back to an area to respawn enemies.

Be Careful Not to Destroy the Crystal Too Quickly

If the Crystal's health becomes too low you can retreat to a short distance away and wait for it to recover HP before continuing to farm.

Use the Mage Archetype to Manage MP in Dungeon

One of the main things you need to watch out for when farming and dungeon crawling is your usage of MP. Have the Mage equipped on your party so that defeating enemies in the overworld battle will help you recover MP and last longer in the dungeons.

How EXP Affects Player Level

Level Up to Get Stat Bonuses

One of the main reasons to level up your party is to get addiditional Stat Bonuses. It wont be possible to get an unbalanced character in Metaphor: ReFantazio since the game alocates 1 point to different stats everytime the player levels.

Unlocks Stronger Abilities and Skills

Leveling up also unlocks Stronger Abilities that you can use in battle. At higher levels, players can unlock more useful and powerful skills. This can be helpful in later Quests and Boss Fights.
