This Encounter Will Happen Regardless Of Your Decision
This boss fight is part of the story and will still happen even if you choose not to side with Glodell. Regardless of if you side with him or not, you will still need to fight Monk Captain Gideaux.

The Mage Monk will have a lot of resistance to Magic Skills so make sure to use Physical Attacks on him. On the other hand, Spearmonk will be more vulnerable to magic skills. |

Hulkenberg will be taking up the Knight Archetype, her main role will be to draw agro by taunting the enemy with the Knight's Proclamation Skill. This will stop Gideaux from doing attacks that target the entire party. |

For this battle, the key point that you have to remember is that you can not use any skill against Gideaux since he is protected by the King's magic. To finish this encounter you will have to defeat his allies, a Spearmonk and a Monk Mage. For the Monk Mage focus on hitting him with physical attacks like Diagonal Slash, Shield Arts, or Sweeping Slash.
The Spearmonk is resistant to most Physical Skills like Pierce, Slash, and Strike Damage. Make sure to watch your health and heal as needed. You can use the Cyc or Cyclo Skill from Seeker to beat him.

Defeat the Mage Monk First
We recommend that you defeat the monk first as he deals the highest damage among the enemies and can heal as well. Cutting him off early from the battle will make taking down the Spearmonk a lot easier. The Mage Monk is vulnerable to Physical attacks like Pierce, Slash, and Strike Skills.
Do Not Attack Gideaux
Remember that you cannot hurt Gideaux because of the King's Magic so avoid skills that will target all enemies. Gideux will mostly be using light spells and will buff the Monk Mage and Spearmonk.
Taunt the Enemy and Heal as Needed
Fully utilize your Knight Archetype by having her tank most of the damage for the party with the Knight's Proclamation Skill. This will stop your enemies from doing skills that would attack all members of the party. Provide healing with Dei as needed.
