You can unlock Mt. Vulkano by either reaching Rank 6 in Eupha's Bond or by accepting the Edge of Glory side quest.
This quest becomes available as early as 09/26 and can be initiated by speaking to the Ornamented Man in Sunshade Row, located in Grand Trad.

Most enemies in Mt. Vulkano are weak to Ice, so bringing Ice casters like Wizards and Dragoons is highly recommended. Meanwhile, Hulkenberg should focus on tanking and healing the party as a Magic Knight.
The Lava Manjula, a strong foe in the area, is vulnerable to both Ice and Strike skills, making your Brawler a key asset in the fight.
