Accept Wayward Shepherd

Before doing this quest, it's recommended to accept Wayward Shepherd first. The item you need to complete this quest is in the same dungeon that you need to clear for that quest.

If you've already completed that quest and got the Rusty Greatsword from Mt. Vulkano, then you can skip ahead to submitting this quest.

Wayward Shepherd Quest Guide

Travel to Mt. Vulkano

When you're ready, head to the Gauntlet Runner and travel to Mt. Vulkano. Once you're there, look for the Rusty Greatsword inside one of the chests in the dungeon.

Talk to the Ornamented Man

Once you've got the Rusty Greatsword, return to Grand Trad and talk to the Ornamented Man in Sunshade Row. This allows you to both start and complete the quest in one conversation.
