Equipped by the Masked Dancer Archetype Lineage

The Masked Dancer Archetype Lineage is special as it can inherit skills and affinities from other Archetypes by wearing different Masks. This means that you can swap roles at the cost of your Accessory Slot.

Above are the Archetypes that can equip these Masks. The Royal Masked Dancer takes this a step further by having five masks exclusive to it, the most notable one being the Dancer's Mask which lets it use the skills of the Persona Master on top of its own Skills.

How to Craft Masks

Crafted at the Akademeia via Special Experiments

You will gain the ability to craft Masks via Special Experiment at the Akademeia once Juna joins your party on the 8th Month.

If you want to craft a specific mask, you first need to have unlocked the Archetype on its namesake by raising your Follower Rank with the character associated with it.

How to Obtain Arcana White Masks

Can Be Dropped by Enemies

The Arcana White Masks which are used as materials to craft Masks can be obtained as drops or stolen from enemies. Having the Merchant or Thief Archetype Lineages can help to significantly increase your odds.

Can be Bought From Wary Shopkeep at Port Brilehaven

If you just need a Specific Mask but don't want to waste time going into dungeons, there is a merchant who only sells Medicinal Herbs at Seabreeze Street on Port Brilehaven.

Head to Virga Islands and head into the Golden Deer Hearth Tavern and an Informant will be there. Purchase the Secret of the Eugief's Stall Information from him and the merchant and will then start selling you masks.

Obtain Skills By Equipping Masks

New Skills Can Only Be Learned When You Equip a Mask

The Masked Dancer Archetype Lineage are special because they learn new Skills and change your Affinity based on the namesake of the Archetype of the equipped mask.

The skills you obtain from equipping a mask is dependent on which Mask you wear. For example, equipping a Warrior Lineage Mask will get you Slash Skills, meanwhile the Healer Lineage Masks will give you Healing Skills.

Synthesis Skills Cannot Be Changed

Equipping a Mask will only change your Base Skills but not your Synthesis Skills, so for example, equipping the Magic Seeker Mask will not give you Heat Riser or Horse-Drawn Carnage. You can only use the Synthesis Skills available to the Masked Dancer, Persona Master, or Royal Masked Dancer.
Synthesis Skills Explained

Ally Synthesis Skills Are Not Affected by Equipped Mask

Equipping a Mask of a certain Archetype will not let allies use their Synthesis Skills except for when it needs a Masked Dancer.

For example, if you have a Masked Dancer with a Knight Mask, an ally General can use Blusterblast Maneuver but not Icewolf Offensive.

Equipping a Mask Will Change Your Affinities

When you equip a mask, the Masked Dancer's weaknesses and resistances will change to reflect the mask equipped.

For example, the Masked Dancer with the Magic Seeker's Mask will gain a Fire weakness and Wind resistace along with losing its Weakness to Electric and resistance to Ice.
