Knight's Proclamation is a recommended skill to have during this boss battle, as Undead Grius tends to use a multi-targeted attack called Phantom Dance. This skill will allow you to be the only target for Undead Grius' attack.

The Knight Archetype is also resistant to Slash attacks, so being the sole target to Undead Grius' attacks while also being resistant to Slash attacks makes the Knight Archetype a solid support for this battle.

The Warrior Archetype can also dish out physical attacks of its own using Diagonal Slash and Round Slash, with the latter being a Synthesis Skill that requires the Knight Archetype.
