You can appraise items at any shop in the towns you'll find in Metaphor: ReFantazio. Learn how to appraise items and how to unlock this game feature.

How to Appraise Items

1. Go to a Shop
2. Select the Appraise Option
3. Select the Item to Appraise

Go to a Shop

Go to a shop in a town to quickly appraise an item. One is located at the Sunshade Row, Grand Trad - Royal Capital. Shops also have a potion bottle icon on the mini-map.

Select the Appraise Option

Once you talk to the shop owner, you can easily see the Appraise option. Select this option.

Select the Item to Appraise

Appraisal of items come at a price, so be sure to have some money on hand, especially if you prefer appraising items in bulk!

Appraised Items Before and After

Items for appraisal are not equippable. However, players could be surprised with the kinds of weapons and equipment they could possibly get by appraising them. Be sure to convert these unequippable items into possibly strong equipment when you can!

How to Unlock Item Appraisal

Start the Pagan's Dillema Quest

This quest can be found in an alleyway of Grand Trad, Sunshade Row. Access to this area becomes available after clearing the Prologue.

Once you find an NPC with a box on his head, named Mustari Man, you can start the quest by talking to him.

Complete the Pagan's Dillema Quest

The quest can be completed by doing the following steps:

1. Go to the church
2. Buy Breath of Fresh Air
3. Give Breathe of Fresh Air to Mustari Man

You will unlock the instructions on appraising items once you finish this quest.
