Grind EXP to Level Up

If dungeons are becoming too hard to progress, you might be exploring them while underleveled. Make sure to use any free time before each major dungeon to farm EXP and level up.

Some things you can do during your free time to gain EXP include revisiting previous dungeons or completing bounty quests!

Be Mindful of Your Stat Allocation

Another reason you might not be hitting hard or taking too much damage is if you're not allocating your stats properly! These stat points are crucial because they determine your damage output and defense.

For instance, if you want to deal more physical damage, keep putting your points into Strength. If you’re aiming for Magic damage, do the same. If you're looking to dodge more attacks, invest in Agility. And if you want to take damage more comfortably, put points into Endurance. Lastly, for higher critical rates, build Luck!

Another reason you might be taking more damage and dealing less is your equipment. Make sure to always use any newer gear you gather from your journey.

There are also merchants where you can buy equipment, so if you have enough money, consider spending a little to upgrade your gear!

Change your Equipment in the Main Menu

Changing equipment is simple! Just access the main menu and select Equipment. This will take you to a list of characters, and from there, simply select the party member to swap their weapons or armor!

Bring Support Archetypes

Support units are crucial in team fights, and it’s highly recommended to include at least one in your party. Several Archetypes fulfill this role, such as the Healer lineage, which can provide recovery and cure status ailments.

Other support Archetypes to consider are the Knight and Faker. The Knight can tank incoming attacks, while the Faker offers a full set of support skills for buffing and debuffing!

Change the Difficulty Level

You can also try changing the difficulty to Easy if things get too hard. The Storyteller difficulty is another option for a much easier run, but keep in mind that, unlike the other difficulty settings, you can't switch back to a higher difficulty after selecting Storyteller.

Make Use of the Retry Command

If battles are getting too hard, you can also restart the combat with the Retry Command. This is a combat feature and won't affect your progress too much. A good practice is to use the first battle to analyze the enemy, then use Retry after studying their skills, attack patterns, gimmicks, and weaknesses.

Travellers' Voices is a feature that lets you see how other players are spending their time in the game. You can use it to get ideas on what you should be doing! Keep in mind that this is an online feature, so make sure you’re connected to the internet on whatever console you’re using!
