How to Increase Archetype Rank Fast

Face Stronger Opponents

Aside from rank-increasing items, there is no sure-fire way to grind Archetype rank faster than simply engaging in encounters and strong enemies and leveling your rank organically.

Overworld Battling to Lessen the Grind

Through battling, you will eventually get to a level where using overworld attacks will be enough to defeat enemies.

Doing this will be less time-consuming than getting into Squad Battles but will still merit you the same amount of EXP, MAG, and Reeves.

Squad Battles Vs. Overworld Battles

Completing Squad Battles without taking damage provides bonus EXP and MAG via Unscathed Triumph. Overworld battles are faster, but will also mean that you will not get the Unscathed Triumph bonus at the end of combat.

It is highly recommended aiming for the Unscathed Triumph bonus as this increases your rewards at the end, making the grind shorter. For this to be done as efficiently as possible, consider finding a good farming spot and learning enemy weaknesses to speed up the grind!

Squad Combat Explained

Speed Up Grinding Using Mage Recovery Passive

If you are using Squad Battles to grind EXP, having the Mage archetype and its passive Magic Recovery, which restores your MP every time you defeat or stun an enemy, will help in the grind since you will be battling and defeating enemies a lot.

Using Hero's Leaf of Light

Once you have maxed out your first Archetype, you will unlock the Hero's Leaf of Light every time you overlevel your maxed Archetype.

This item will help you increase your Archetype experience by 1000 which will lessen your grind for your other desired Archetypes!

Unlocking Archetypes

More advocates for the party to keep unlocking and learning new archetypes. Once in a while, when hitting a milestone in unlocking Archetypes, he will offer the player the item Hero's Fruit.

Similar to the Hero's Leaf of Light, this item increases your Archetype experience by 500. This is easier to obtain over the Leaf of Light as you will be unlocking Archetypes as the story goes on.
