Rare Stones and Minerals

Fire Dragon Mauna

Rare stones and minerals are the best items to exchange for a good amount of Reeve. The earliest stones you can obtain are found in the Nord Mines during the prologue, around the time you encounter the Sleeping Dragon!

Once you get your hands on these, make sure to exchange them to earn more Reeve! For example, you can get at least 1,000 for an Onyx and 3,000 for an Amethyst.

Is there value whatsoever in holding onto any exchange items? To clarify, I mean if they could be: a. Key to a particular quest or side-quest that wants you to have them (akin to "One Mokoi's Trash..." from SMT V) b. Useless but worth holding onto until they can be sold at a higher rate by another character or at a specific time c. Conventionally useful like other items but only under specific circumstances Or is it best to sell them at every opportunity as a means of making cash?
