By the time you enter Man-Eater's Grotto, your Archetypes should be at their second ranks, as this is one of the more challenging dungeons in the early game.

The recommended team consists of the Protagonist as a Healer, Strohl as a Gunner, Hulkenberg as a Magic Knight, and Heismay as a Thief.

Team Strategy

The Protagonist will serve as the group's main healer, providing essential support. Strohl, acting as the Gunner in this dungeon, can also assist with healing alongside the Protagonist. Additionally, Strohl can team up with Hulkenberg to execute the Magic Knight's Hammer synthesis skill, which is particularly effective against the Alpha Rockworm boss. Hulkenberg will focus on tanking incoming damage using Knight's Proclamation.

Heismay, in his Thief Archetype, will be the team's primary debuffer, spending most of the fight casting Tarunda, a skill inherited from the Faker Archetype. This skill will reduce the enemy's attack power, making it easier for the team to survive. Heismay can also use Plunder Life to recover health once the enemy's attacks have been weakened or contribute to healing the party when needed.

To minimize incoming damage, position both the Protagonist and Strohl in the back row, where they can focus on healing and ranged attacks.
