A Friend in Need Walkthrough

Talk to Catherina in the Mausoleum

To start this quest, you will need to talk to Catherina down in the Mausoleum where you fought Undead Grius. You can't miss her since you'll need to pass this area when doing the Main Storyline Quest, Necromancer Takedown.

Proceed to the Cathedral

Keep heading forward until you reach a point where a cutscene plays. The guards downstairs will talk about a key on the desk that you'll need to get to rescue the hostages behind the door on the left.

Get the Key in the Room Downstairs

Head downstairs and on the right, there will be a short hallway. Another cutscene will then play with a sleeping guard. Inside the room to the right will be a green glowing item, which is the Chamber Side Room Key you'll need.

Unlock the Chamber Side Room

Once you have the key, head back up and unlock the door for the hostages. You'll also find the friend Catherina is looking for, which automatically completes the quest.

Unlocks Catherina as a Follower and the Brawler Archetype

Besides the regular quest rewards, you'll also unlock Catherina as a follower as well as the Brawler Archetype! If you're looking for a physical attacker with powerful Strike and Light skills, then this is the Archetype for you.
