How to Beat Homo Avades |

|
Use Bot from the Mage Archetype to destroy the Left Hand and Right Hand of Homo Avades. Once both have been destroyed, Homo Avades' Swiping Arc attack will miss your party when used against you.
Additionally, Homo Avades usually repairs its Shell part when destroyed using Shell Regeneration from both hands. Destroying the arms will Homo Avades to only perform an Incomplete Regeneration.
Do note that you can only attack the hands after Gallica notices that they are the key to Homo Avades' recovery in battle.
You can also use the Jump Thrust Synthesis Skill from the Knight Archetype against the hands of Homo Avades, as they are against Pierce Skills which can be used to gain advantage over their weakness.
This is where either the Knight Archetype or Brawler Archetype comes into play. Once both hands are destroyed, use Shield Arts or Perfect Punch to crack open the Shell part of Homo Avades.
Destroying the Shell will force Homo Avades to take a temporary refuge on the ground, which you can use as an opportunity to dish out all your attacks against it.
Once Homo Avades is in striking range, use all available offensive skills you have to damage it. Homo Avades is resistant to some elements such as Fire, Ice, and Light, so make sure not to use Hama against it so as not to waste your turn.
Once the Heart comes back to its pedestal, the Shell part of its body will conjure Assailants that can use an attack called Ambush Assault that targets all your party members.
Head to the back row, and use Guard beforehand to avoid incurring the brunt of the damage from Ambush Assault.
At some point during the boss fight, the game will prompt you to choose whether to let Gallica help you distract the Assailants in battle. Choose Yes to deal some damage to the Assailants.
