Protagonist | The Protagonist should equip the Magic Seeker Archetype. When not focused on support, the Protagonist can contribute damage using Synthesis Skills. ▶︎ Best Protagonist Build |
Strohl | Strohl will serve as the Swordmaster, responsible for activating the Synthesis skills of other party members. When not assisting the party. ▶︎ Best Strohl Build |
Hulkenberg | Hulkenberg, as the Magic Knight, focuses on dealing damage with Synthesis Skills while tanking enemy attacks. Additionally, she can help heal Daze ailments when needed. ▶︎ Best Hulkenberg Build |
Heismay | Heismay will take on the Faker Archetype, focusing on debuffing Homo Jaluzo by lowering its attack and defense with both Tarunda and Rakunda, while also providing general support to the party throughout the fight. ▶︎ Best Heismay Build |
The fight against Homo Jaluzo only allows you to use the first three party members of your team, meaning that you're locked into using only Hulkenberg, Strohl, and Heismay. Other party members will join you only in later chapters.
Archetype | Recommended Skills |

The Magic Seeker and Faker will focus on healing, buffing the entire party, and debuffing the boss. Meanwhile, the Swordmaster and Magic Knight will handle offense, unleashing their powerful abilities and Synthesis Skills to deal damage.
Both offensive roles can also assist in curing the Daze ailment inflicted by Homo Jaluzo by using the Sulphurous Salts item when necessary.

How to Beat Homo Jaluzo |
---|
|
Your top priority is to ensure the party is fully buffed and Homo Jaluzo is fully debuffed before focusing on offense.
The Faker should consistently debuff Homo Jaluzo's attack and defense. The Magic Seeker can assist by casting Vitalja on the party's damage dealers to enhance their offensive potential.
Homo Jaluzo's Stare ability is a counterattack that inflicts Daze, preventing your party from using Magic or Synthesis Skills. Though it deals no damage, the status effect can be crippling.
Stock up on Sulphurous Salts before the fight, and have your party members cure Daze, whoever is available, as soon as possible to keep your strategy flowing.
All Status Ailments and Effects
While you can target Homo Jaluzo's eyes, it's best to focus on its body.
Later in the fight, when Homo Jaluzo is near death, its Joanna will restore some of its HP, including the eyes, so attacking them early serves no benefit. Maximize damage by focusing on the body from the start.
When Homo Jaluzo's HP is low, Joanna will intervene and restore some of its HP. While this is frustrating, the boss will not gain any new abilitiesor change its attack patterns.
Stick to your original strategy of buffing, debuffing, and curing Daze. With persistence, you'll eventually defeat Homo Jaluzo.
