How to Upgrade to PS5 Edition

Additional charges may apply

One of the pros of upgrading to the PS5 version of the game is you don't have to purchase it again at full price. However, you may need to pay an additional fee depending on the version of the game you bought.

How to Upgrade PS4 Disc Version to PS5

  1. Sign-in account to the PS5 console.
  2. Insert the PS4 disk version of Resident Evil Village.
  3. Select the PS5 upgrade.
  4. Choose either "Download" or "Buy at a discounted price".

PS5 with Disk Drive is required

You won't be able to upgrade the disc version of Resident Evil Village to PS5 if you don't own a PS5 console with a disk drive. Also, note that you can't use the Digital version of the game with this method.

Disc is required every time you play

Following the procedures above, you will be able to play your PS4 version of Resident Evil Village on the PS5. However, you have to insert the disc into the PS5 every time to play it.

How to Upgrade Digital Version to PS5

  1. Sign-in account to the PS5 console.
  2. Search for the PS5 version of Resident Evil Village on the PS Store.
  3. Look for the PS5 upgrade button and click on it.
  4. Select "Download" or "Buy at a discounted price".
