This is a guide to New Game Plus in Resident Evil Village. Here you'll find out what you can do in New Game Plus as well as what carries over into your next playthrough!

Resident Evil Village allows players to tackle the main storyline once again but under new circumstances. Armed with the knowledge of what's to come while also having weapons and weapon upgrades obtained in prior runs, players now have the option of breezing through the main story.
Alternatively, players may challenge themselves on higher difficulties – including the Village of Shadows difficulty you unlock after beating the game once.
After successfully finishing the main story, players can continue from their cleared save file to begin New Game Plus. If you choose to create a new file, you can still access the same New Game Plus content from The Duke's Emporium after unlocking it from the Extra Content Shop.

For the most part, all of the important things you obtained in your initial playthrough will carry over with you into your consecutive runs. This means that if you missed any Goats for the Heretic trophy or Files for the Bookworm trophy,you have the chance to finish them up at any time. You can also continue upgrading your weapons and character to work towards unlocking Infinite Ammo for your guns, as well as buy or find anything else you may have missed.

Unfortunately, you won't be allowed to sequence break in subsequent playthroughs. You will lose all Key Items from your previous playthrough. The outhouses and breakable windows will reset. If you didn't get those trophies in your first run, you have to start from scratch. On the upside, your playtime will reset as well, allowing you to go for the Dashing Dad trophy for completing the game within 3 hours.

Completing the game the first time will unlock you more content for you to enjoy! An Extra Content Shop will unlock, allowing you to buy new weapons, infinite ammo, and more! You will need to use CP, points you unlock by completing Challenges. You can even buy the Mercenaries mode, the returning game mode everybody was waiting for! And for the Duke's Shop, you will unlock new items for you to buy and make you stronger for your new run!
