This is a guide on the various difficulties in Resident Evil Village. If you want to know which difficulty is right for you or whether or not it can be changed then keep reading!

| Hardcore | ・For those who have confidence in their skill at action games |
| Village of Shadows | ・The hardest diffiuclty ・Unlocked by clearing the game ★Also comes with the Trauma Pack for buying the Deluxe Edition |
The hardest difficulty must be unlocked
In order to play on Village of Shadows difficulty you must unlock it via one of two methods. If you'd like to start playing on Village of Shadows immediately, you will need to purchase the Deluxe Edition of the game to get the Trauma Pack that comes with this difficulty mode included. If you're fine waiting or purchased the standard edition of the game, simply clear the game once on any other difficulty to unlock it.
How to Change the Difficulty
Can Only Be Changed When Starting a New Game
You will only be able to choose your difficulty when starting up a new game (or New Game+). Choose wisely as you will have to stick with it for the rest of the game.
Can be changed once on Standard
If you choose Standard, you will have a chance to lower the difficulty to Casual from the Game Over screen. Keep in mind that you won't be able to change back to Standard if you do so.

Anonymous over 4 yearsthe one who knew punks like you would try to cheat the system to get the achievement for beating the game on the most difficult setting by playing it on the easiest and switching to the hardest when it was convenient
