Chris Redfield: Basic Information

Chris returns to reprise his role as a BSAA agent in Resident Evil Village. He rescued both Mia and Ethan from the Baker Family Estate, and proceeded to continue performing missions in the area.

Chris Redfield Profile and Backstory

Resident Evil Veteran

Chris used to be a member of the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team of the Raccoon City Police Department. Afterwards, he went on to work for the B.S.A.A. and Blue Umbrella. He rescued both Ethan and Mia during the events of Resident Evil 7.

BSAA Agent

Prior to his work in Resident Evil 7, Chris helped to investigate the outbreak of the Las Plagas virus in Kijuju after a failed attempt to stop a bioweapons deal in the African country. He would go on to defeat a resurgent Albert Wesker, with an incident of him punching a boulder becoming a well renowned feat.

Is Chris Redfield Bad in Resident Evil Village?

Throughout much of the promotion for Resident Evil Village, the image painted for Chris has been one of a villain. In released trailers, he has been revealed to have killed Mia. What are his reasons for doing so? Above all, he is known to be the one who kidnaps Ethan's daughter.

Hound Wolf Squad Leader

The Hound Wolf Squad, an elite group comprised of shadowy men is what Chris leads in the upcoming game. Whereas before he worked for the B.S.A.A. and Blue Umbrella, Chris finds himself leading something new entirely as we enter a new chapter in Ethan Winters' story.

Chris' True Mission

While initially appearing to have murdered Mia in cold blood, Chris never really killed Ethan's wife, only ever intending to kill Mother Miranda who had impersonated her via mimicry.

Chris' true mission was to never cause harm to the Winters, but in fact was purposefully trying to protect them despite their lack of knowledge of him doing so.

He heads into The Village with the full intention of saving Rose and killing Miranda, but is stopped short when not only does he find the real Mia, who is alive, but the truth about Ethan as well. It is in this mission where Chris and the Hound Wolf Squad remark on the suspicious activity the BSAA were doing as they send in operatives to the Village, later revealed to appear strangely inhuman.
