Due to her conception by two individuals who have had encounters with the Molded and Eveline during the events of Resident Evil 7, Rosemary is a sought after character by Mother Miranda and her four lords.

Kidnapping

As the Winters' settle in for a quiet night, Chris Redfield and the Hound Wolf Squad attack the home and seemingly take Rose away. What follows after this forces her father Ethan to search for her in the broken and empty Village.

The Reason for Rose's Abduction

Rose plays an important role in Resident Evil Village, serving as the catalyst that drives Ethan forwards in battling against the many monsters and enemies he encounteres in it.

Although initially it was throught that Chris had abducted her, it was in fact Mother Miranda who was after her. She replaced Mia in the Winters home and abducted Rose after coming back to life and killing Chris Redfield's soldiers. In reality, Rose has unique powers due to being the children of two people exposed to the Mold encountered in the Baker Residence. Mother Miranda seeks to use her power as a vessel to bring her dead daughter Eva back to life. Her body is separated into four pieces, and each piece is given to Mother Miranda's faithful lords. However, she is revived by Mother Miranda at the end of the game and saved by her father, Ethan.
